Looking for an affordable, fun place to have a family gathering, picnic, or Birthday Party?
Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting reservations for park shelters located at Legion, Moreland, English, Ben Hawes Parks and the gazebos at Cap Gardner Nature Park and Old Germantown Park for the year of 2017.
Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance for any shelter April 1-October 31, 2017 between the hours of 7 a.m.-9 p.m. and must be paid in full at the time of reservation. This is a first come first serve basis.
Shelters can be reserved for up to 4 hours for only $35. Each additional hour after 4 hours is an extra $10. With exception, Ben Hawes Park shelters are $60 each.
Reservations can be made by calling the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administrative Center at 270-687-8700 or by visiting the Administrative Center in person Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The Administrative Center is located at 1530 McJohnson Avenue, next to Combest Pool.
