Owensboro Health’s One Health medical group is proud to welcome Dr. Abdelkader Almanfi, a board-certified cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiac and vascular care.
Dr. Almanfi earned his medical degree at Al-Arab Medical University in Benghazi, where he also completed an internal medicine residency and a post-doctoral cardiology fellowship. Dr. Almanfi then became board-certified from the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. After moving to the United States, he completed an internship at George Washington University in Washington D.C. and residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis.
Dr. Almanfi also completed cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, considered one of the top medical centers and cardiology research facilities in the world. His training and work there, he said, are part of why he strives to learn new methods and technologies related to cardiac care.
Dr. Almanfi said he feels it is a priority to learn new methods and technologies for the benefit of his patients.
“I want to provide my patients with the best available technology and the best available service,” Dr. Almanfi said.
