Today is the deadline to register for the 2016 Color Blast 5K presented by Independence Bank.
Paper registrations will be accepted until 5:30 Friday, March 18 at Puzzle Pieces, 1512 Frederica St.
Online registrations will be accepted until midnight. Walk-up registrations will not be accepted the day of the race. Register online here.
The Color Blast presented by Independence Bank begins at 8 a.m. Sat, March 19, 2016, at Moreland Park, 1215 Hickman Ave. Spectators are welcome and cheering is encouraged!
The event is rain or shine and will not be canceled or rescheduled. The opening ceremonies start at 7:15 a.m.
The Color Blast 5K is a run/walk color celebration to recognize the positive impact individuals with special needs have on our lives, to acknowledge their abilities, and help spread awareness!
The Color Blast 5K is brought to you by five Owensboro non-profits: Puzzle Pieces, GRADSA, Dream Riders of KY, Team Karlie and Wendell Foster’s Campus, whose common mission is to support and enhance the quality of life of those with disabilities.
Participants wear white and will be showered with a safe and non-toxic COLORED POWDER at each mile marker. The color fun continues to the After Party involving a color shower as a group.
Over 3,000 participants ran or walked the 5K in 2015.
