UPDATE: Due to weather conditions the tree trimming work on the KY 2262 Ohio River “Blue” Bridge originally scheduled for Tuesday, Dec 6, has been moved to WEDNESDAY, DEC 7.
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane on the KY 2262 Ohio River “Blue” Bridge at Owensboro on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane on the KY 2262 Ohio River “Blue” Bridge to allow tree trimming along the north approach.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers between 9 a.m., CST, and about 1 p.m., on Wednesday.
The KY 2262 Ohio River “Blue” Bridge at Owensboro, also known as the Glover Cary Bridge, connects with Indiana State Route 161. The bridge carries approximately 7,300 vehicles across the Ohio River between Kentucky and Indiana in an average day.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
