The Kentucky State Police recognized the promotion of 16 officers throughout the state at a ceremony held Feb.12 in Frankfort. One lieutenant colonel, one major, two captains, two lieutenants and 10 sergeants were commissioned.
Trooper First Class Zachary L. Jones, of Owensboro, was promoted to sergeant and transferred from Post 16 in Henderson to Post 6 in Dry Ridge.
Trooper Jones began his career with the KSP in October of 2004. Prior to joining the KSP, he was an officer with the Winslow Indiana Police Department for nearly three years.
Last December, Jones received the Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Award.
