KSP Citizens Police Academy Graduates Eight Local Participants

On Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, the Kentucky State Police Post 16 – Henderson graduated eight local people from the post’s Citizen’s Police Academy.

The classes were held at the Ohio County Senior Citizen’s Center in Hartford (Ohio County), KY. The nine-week academy started on Oct. 8 and concluded Dec. 10, 2015.

The ceremony was held at the Ohio County Senior Center in Hartford where Captain Todd Kidd, Commander of Post 16-Henderson, and Major Robert Shoultz were on hand to assist Trooper Corey King in presenting the participants with their graduation certificates.

During the course of the nine-week academy, the participants learned about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, traffic stops, criminal investigations, drug investigations, dispatching and Trooper Island. Participants also took part in simulated traffic stops, a mock crime scene and a tour of Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.

5) Ashleigh Chinn, Beaver Dam, KY
6) Tyler Payne, Centertown, KY
7) Jasmine Holland, Beaver Dam, KY
8) Amy Beehn, Owensboro, KY
