Kentucky Wesleyan College will be hosting several musical performances in the next few weeks.
Wind Ensemble
The Kentucky Wesleyan College Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Kevin Callihan, will perform on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at 8 p.m. in the Hocker Family Dining Center on the second floor of the Winchester Center.
The program will feature works by Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Grainger, Jager, Mahler, Fillmore and Reed. A $5 donation is suggested.
Jazz Band
The Kentucky Wesleyan College Jazz Band, under the direction of Kevin Callihan, will perform on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at 5 p.m. in Tapscott Chapel at the Barnard-Jones Administration Building.
The program will feature works by Kenton, Ruiz, Lecuona, Hefti, Kander and Ebb, Tizol and Ellington and Sherman. A $5 donation is suggested.
Concert Band
The Kentucky Wesleyan College Concert Band, under the direction of Kevin Callihan with guest conductor Maestro Nick Palmer, and the Kentucky Wesleyan College Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Nick Palmer with guest conductor Nathaniel Parsley, will present a joint concert on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. in Rogers Hall at the Winchester Center.
The program will feature works by Lauridsen, del Tredici, Balmages, Bizet, Erickson, King, Purcell, Lloyd Weber, Custer, Badelt and Hardiman. A $5 donation is suggested.
