Inspiration Junkie is a new, locally produced radio program to be featured on WBIO FM 94.7 on Sundays at 1:00p.m beginning in April 2015.
This new show is the vision of local musician and philanthropist Randy Lanham who wanted to somehow create a place on radio and online to give people the option to be able to tune out all of the negativity that plagues the media by providing a broadcast that would feature only positive, uplifting, and inspirational music and stories. The stations’ tagline is a play on words “Get Your Fix, at Inspiration Junkie Radio Show”.
Lanham is the producer of the show and has partnered with local talent, Tommy Mullins, to host the show each week. Mullins is also a featured artist and songwriter whose most recent song “Twenty One” was published last year as a tribute to his son, SPC Brandon Scott Mullins who was killed in Afghanistan August 2011.
The weekly broadcast will feature a different guest artist sharing their music and the inspirational stories behind the music. Several local artists are on board with the project and will be featured in upcoming programs including Jenny Beth Willis, Wayne Morris, Rollie Pike, Skylar Cain, Lanham himself and many, many more, all whom are gifted singer / songwriters.
In addition to the radio program, Inspiration Junkie can be found online and features only positive videos both the music and videos. For more information, contact Tommy Mullins, 270-316-9203, [email protected].
