Owensboro Health’s Healthpark celebrates its 17th year of serving the community this October. The Healthpark opened in October 1998.
Today the Healthpark offers wellness programs to develop and maintain better overall health in mind, body and spirit. Inside the 115,000 square-foot facility is housed outpatient diagnostic resources, outpatient therapies, a health and fitness center, community education, chapel and more.
The Healthpark staff provides programs that focus on keeping people healthy and restoring health to those who’ve had a health risk, while offering a wide range of programs that offer opportunity for any age and fitness level.
“Every day our staff comes into contact with so many people who have great stories to tell. It is rewarding to hear people say they have more energy, sleep better and are enjoying higher quality of life because of the programs they participate in. To celebrate with a member as they reach their goals and tell us “I did it!” is the greatest reward,” said Collette Carter, Director of Owensboro Health Healthpark.
During the month of October the Healthpark will offer $17 enrollment fees, a Zumba Glow Party, Playpark Celebration, healthy food and refreshments provided to members and much more.
The Healthpark team includes, certified personal trainers, fitness instructors, physical therapists, counselors, licensed massage therapists and more, giving the community access to wellness expertise in the gym and beyond.
