Forester’s Artisan Bistro opened today at 4431 Springhill Drive on Hwy 54 in Lake Forest Town Center, next to Orange Leaf.
Managing partner Jeff Jones told Owensboro Living the new restaurant planned to open Monday at 11 a.m. offering pizza, salads, pasta, appetizers, wings, and oven-baked sandwiches.
The restaurant was formerly open under a different name, but after closing for renovations and expanding the menu, Forester’s Artisan Bistro opened Monday, November 7, 2016, for lunch. “What we did was listen to our customers,” Jones explained. “They were asking if we could add sandwiches and other menu items.”
In response, the management team decided to take a new direction and brought in chefs to develop a sandwich line and update the pizza selections. “We still serve pizza, but the recipes are different. Our oven-baked sandwiches are really good. These are artisan sandwiches with quality cuts of meat. We wanted to offer something interesting that customers would really enjoy.”
Forester’s Artisan Bistro is open seven days a week. Hours are Sat-Thurs 11 a.m. -9 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
