Thanks to the generosity of Academy Sports + Outdoors, 50 Estes Elementary School students will get an early Christmas present on Thursday, December 11. Twenty-five boys and 25 girls will receive new bikes from Academy Sports + Outdoors.
“This gift will encourage our students to lead a healthy lifestyle in a fun and exciting way,” said Shari Flagg, Estes Principal.
Students in grades kindergarten through 4th who have demonstrated grit by showing passion and perseverance in the classroom will be eligible to win a bike. Twenty-five boys’ and 25 girls’ names will be drawn to receive the bikes.
“We are excited to see the joy on our students’ faces. We truly appreciate what Academy Sports + Outdoors has made possible for the Estes community here in Owensboro,” said Ms. Flagg.
The event took take place in the Estes gymnasium located at 1675 Leitchfield Road in Owensboro.
