Drug Arrests Continue

OPD and DCSO assist FBI in cocaine trafficking arrests. Investigation continues.

On Dec. 18, 2015 at approximately 5:50 a.m. the Owensboro Police Department and Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation SWAT team in the execution of two arrest warrants at locations in Owensboro.

The warrants were the result of an extended joint investigation involving the Owensboro Police Department, Kentucky State Police, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, and FBI. The investigation involved an ongoing cocaine trafficking operation in the Owensboro – Daviess County area. The subjects were transported to the Owensboro Police Department and transferred to the U.S. Marshal Service after questioning.

Detectives are continuing to investigate other persons of interest potentially involved in this drug operation and other operations in the Owensboro – Daviess County area.
