The Owensboro Police Department Crime Prevention Unit is preparing for the 2016 D.A.R.E. Golf Scramble and wants to invite you to participate.
The scramble will be held at Ben Hawes Golf Course on Friday, September 2, 2016, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, closest to the pin, longest putt, and others. Lunch and snacks provided.
This important and fun yearly event is held to raise money for several programs designed to benefit the youth in our community. The programs are conducted throughout the school year by the Crime Prevention officers in our city schools and include:
- Juvenile Diversion Program Explorer Post 766
- D.A.R.E.
- Character Counts
- Camp KOPS
The Owensboro Police Department appreciates the community’s support and wants to encourage you to participate in this great cause.
