On August 5, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. US Bank Home Mortgage will present for the 30th consecutive season, the Owensboro Symphony’s Concert on the Lawn, at Kentucky Wesleyan College, 3000 Frederica Street, Owensboro Ky.
Picnicking on the grounds will begin at 5:30 p.m. This casual outdoor evening performance by Owensboro’s Symphony is a great opportunity to gather with friends, family and co-workers.
In celebration of US Bank Home Mortgage 30th Anniversary as sponsor of Concert on the Lawn, recently appointed music director Troy Quinn and the Owensboro Symphony will present an electrifying evening of action and adventure playing the most beloved Hollywood film music, featuring classics from Oscar-winners Henry Mancini, Jerry Goldsmith and Ennio Morricone.
Favorites from Hans Zimmer’s Pirates of the Caribbean to the Imperial March from Star Wars will be performed, including John Williams’ Tribute to Film Composers, a medley never performed before outside Hollywood.

Pack a Picnic
The public is encouraged to pack a picnic, put on comfortable clothes, grab their lawn chairs and blankets and head to the lawn at Kentucky Wesleyan College for this FREE community event. Pre-concert festivities will include the US Bank hot air balloon, face painting, and children’s games.
Not in the Mood to Pack a Picnic?
For those who would rather come and enjoy the performance without having to bring their own food, a buffet dinner can be reserved before August 1, 2017, by calling 270-684-0661, extension 11 or online. Table, chairs, and dinner for 8 people can be reserved for $250.00. A table and eight chairs only can be reserved for $100.00. Individual buffet dinners can be reserved for $20.00 a person. The pre-reserved meal will include Bourbon Glazed Pork Tenderloin, Homestyle Vegetables, Fruit Cobblers and Tea/Lemonade. Meals will not be for sale on the night of the event – they must be purchased in advance.
JOIN THE FUN…Decorate Your Table!
Those who reserve tables year-after-year often participate in the table decorating contest. Those who do participate are encouraged to decorate their tables reflecting the evenings theme – Hooray for Hollywood. A winner will be chosen to receive two complimentary tickets to the Owensboro Symphony’s December 9, 2017 “A Very Merry Holiday Pops!” Concert and the Symphony’s Christmas Tour of Homes.
