The City of Owensboro invites the region to downtown Owensboro’s riverfront to celebrate the City Bicentennial with a Birthday Party during the All-American Fourth of July on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
The annual celebration will include live music on stages in McConnell Plaza and the RiverPark Center Patio throughout the evening, food vendors, and 4th Fest inside the Owensboro Convention Center with free inflatable and carnival games for kids.
The Bicentennial Birthday Party will take place at 6:30pm with a signature cake marking the occasion and free cupcakes for the first 1,000 people.
The Owensboro Convention Center will again be hosting 4th Fest presented by Kentucky Legend in the exhibit hall from 4:00pm – the end of the fireworks. 4th Fest will include interactive games, activities, and food for the whole family. There are also opportunities to reserve a seat or an entire table with a buffet dinner in prime view of the fireworks on the terrace. Purchase your reserved seating tickets at owensborotickets.com.
Daviess County Fiscal Court will be joining the City for the occasion in 2017 as a show of community support in similar fashion to the joint event in 2015. There will be food vendors, live music, and family fun activities for everyone to enjoy at the All-American Fourth of July and Bicentennial Birthday Party! Music begins at 5:00pm on the stage in McConnell Plaza with:
– Hayley Payne from 5:00-6:30pm
– The Downtown Band from 7:00-10:15pm
– Andy Brasher Band from 7:00-9:00pm on RiverPark Center Patio
To cap off the evening, the skies above the Ohio River will light-up with the City’s largest fireworks display downtown with some of your favorite patriotic music at 9:15pm. Be sure to get there early to set-up your lawn chairs and blanket and enjoy an evening full of entertainment for the entire family.
