Building Stronger Families (BSF) is a home visitation program for families with children that was started in 1997 to serve at-risk children and educate parents.
“Our primary goal is to prevent child abuse and neglect,” explained Program Coordinator, Linda Wahl. “We believe parents want to be the best parents they can be, but they may not know how to go about it.”
Money raised from the Chili for Children Fundraiser will be used to support BSF services like screening children under five for delays or teaching parenting skills such as creating routines, setting structure and organizational skills.
The program is available in all seven Green River counties.
