Chicago Chalk Champ Shaun Hayes will be joining the East Bridge Art Festival.  “We invited Shaun to East Bridge last year and his work blew us away. Not only is he a tremendous chalk artist but he was so great about engaging in conversation with all the festival goers. His work and himself were such a treat we knew we had to have him back again this year,” said Katherine Taylor of Studio Slant.

East Bridge will be on September 6 features 75 artists from around the tri-state. A children’s activities tent sponsored by Independence Bank will have opportunities to create multiple works of art, fabulous face painting, and caricature drawing! You can enjoy live music from local and regional bands playing throughout the day. Local restaurants will be serving up gourmet street food.  Everything takes place on the corner of Clay and 2nd Street in the heart of Downtown Owensboro!.

When working with Shaun you can sometimes choose what he chalks.  But not The Sisters of Slant. “We say ‘Surprise us!’ This gives him a lot of creative freedom to work with and that is what we are all about. We are excited to see what he creates on the streets of downtown,” said Katherine.

If you would like to chalk alongside Shaun there is also a sidewalk chalk contest during the festival for businesses, organizations etc. For more information visit our website www.eastbridgeart.com
