Contemporary Christian music artists Tenth Avenue North and Colton Dixon will perform on June 9, 2018 at Lu-Ray Park & Amphitheater.

“Tenth Avenue North and Colton Dixon are both award-winning artists who put on amazing shows. We are incredibly excited to present these world-class entertainers at Lu-Ray in our inaugural season,” said Executive Director Melissa Recke.

Tenth Avenue North has won multiple awards including the Gospel Music Association Dove Award in 2009 for New Artist of the Year and in 2010 “By Your Side” was named Song of the Year. Their most recent project, Followers, produced the No. 1 song at CHR radio, “What You Want,” and the Top 5 radio hit “I Have This Hope.”

Colton Dixon quickly became a household name in 2012 when he made it to the top seven on Season 11 of Fox’s hit show American Idol, and his career has been on the fast track ever since. Dixon’s 2013 debut, A Messenger, set the record for biggest first-week sales by a new solo Christian act, becoming the No. 1 selling album by a new Christian artist.

“The caliber of performances that you will see this night will have our area begging for more. I wanted to bring in artists who would draw in youth groups from around the region and just make this a special night to remember!” Recke continued.

Recke says this is the perfect outing for church youth groups, especially the early bird group rate — 10 tickets for $175, which is available through May 14.

Lu-Ray Park & Amphitheater is an open-air facility with a park-like setting, which includes a paved walking trail, an outdoor 7,500-seat amphitheater, a structured concession stand and restroom facilities, a Veterans memorial and a covered outdoor pavilion complete with water and electric.
