The Daviess County and Owensboro Public Schools districts will host an online registration support group program for grandparents and other non-parent primary caregivers of students attending DCPS or OPS in the 2018-19 school year. The event will cover everything a primary caregiver needs to know in order to complete the online registration process for the upcoming school year. The program is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Owensboro Middle School South, 2631 S. Griffith Ave.
The event is free, but those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to Tonya Barr at 270-686-1159.
Free childcare will be available during the event for children age 12 and younger.
The event is sponsored by the Green River Area Development District Area Agency on Aging, Family Caregiver Support Program, in collaboration with the Owensboro-Daviess County Public Schools district’s Family Resource and Youth Service Centers. This project is funded in part under a contract with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health Services with funds from the U.S. Department of Human Services.
In the event of inclement weather and either school district cancels school, the program will not take place.
