Record attendance expected at Chamber Annual Business Celebration on January 30

At the annual meeting of the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce membership on January 30, 2015, six chamber members will be recognized as Business Members of the Year. The 2015 Business Celebration, presented by Owensboro Health, will begin at 6 pm and all Chamber members, business leaders and community members are encouraged to attend.

The Celebration will feature a reception at 6 pm at the RiverPark Center. A short program, in Cannon Hall at 7:30 pm, will recognize the recipients of the new Business of the Year Award programs, sponsored by US Bank Home Mortgage, in six categories. Awards will also be presented to the Director of the Year and Ambassador of the Year. A dance and celebration after the one hour program will feature Old School.

Those businesses that will compete for the Business of the Year awards program include:

Emerging Business – Bella Ragazza Boutique, Creation Gardens, Edge Body Boot Camp, Fetta Specialty Pizza & Spirits, Home Instead Senior Care, Legends, Lipscomb Hydra Cleaning, Research Concierge

1-10 Employees – Blossoms Apparel & Gifts, Browns Valley Truck Equipment, Gene’s Health Food, Gorman & Associates, Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance, Gavin Roberts Agency, L. Steve Castlen Realtors, Musick Studios, Reid’s Orchard, RiverPark EyeCare, Upright Communications

11-50 Employees – Castlen Welding & Manufacturing, Community Home Health Care, E.M. Ford & Company, Fetta Specialty Pizza & Spirits, Green River Appliance, Old National Bank, Welborn Floral Company

51+ Employees – Canteen Service Company, Glenmore Distillery, Home Instead Senior Care, Independence Bank, Progressive Rehab, The Malcolm Bryant Corporation, Toyotetsu Mid America 

Non-Profit – Audubon Area Community Services, CASA of the Ohio Valley, Dream Riders of Kentucky, Friday After 5, Girls Inc, Hospice of Western Kentucky, Impact 100 Owensboro, Junior Achievement, RiverPark Center, Rushing Wind Church of God

Education and Workforce Development – Brescia University, Daviess County Public Library, Daviess County Public Schools, Daymar College – Career Services Department, Green River District Health Department, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Office of Employment & Training, Owensboro Public Schools.
