Western Kentucky Botanical Garden Planning for Spring

If the groundhog was right this year, we’re in store for an early spring, which would be all the better for Western Kentucky Botanical Garden.

If you’re tired of cold and snow, maybe thinking about spring and flowers and warmer weather will brighten your spirit. Here is a list of spring events planned at the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden (located at 25 Carter Road.)

Sat. March 5 – First WeekEndWonders Volunteer Work Session
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Sat. March 5 – First Saturday “Hibernation Station” for kids Ages 5-11
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This is a hands on fun, learning experience.
Free for Garden Members, $1 for kids.

Tues. March 15 – Walk & Talk Luncheon “All The World’s A Garden- Germany with Tom Roidl of Dusseldorf”
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Lunch included with admission.

Sat. April 2 – First WeekEndWonders Volunteer work session
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Sat. April 2 – First Saturday “Weather Watching” for kids Ages 5-11
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This is a hands on, learning experience.
Free for Garden Members, $1 for kids.

Thurs. April 14 – “On The Road Again” to the “Cincinnati Flower Show” Day trip to Cincinnati

Sat. April 30 – Annual Plant Sale
8 a.m. – 2 p.m. (*extended hours this year)
Including “Gardener’s Remorse” a Potpourri of Garden Trash To Treasure.

Sat. May 7 – First WeekEndWonders Volunteer work session
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Sat. May 7 – First Saturday “Flower Power” for kids Ages 5-11
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This is a hand on, learning experience.
Free for Garden Members, $1 for kids.

Sun. May 8 – Mum’s Day At The Garden, Brunch
10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
