The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be returning to Owensboro for the first time since 1991 – you’ll just have to wait until 2018. The announcement was made at the International Council of Air Shows Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Blue Angels announced their updated 2017 schedule as well as their 2018 itinerary. Owensboro is listed on September 15-16, 2018.
The Mayor’s office released a statement saying, “The city of Owensboro is honored to have been selected by the prestigious U.S. Navy Blue Angles for the 2018 show schedule.”
In 1991, an estimated 35,000 people turned out to watch the Blue Angels perform at the Owensboro-Daviess Regional Airport.
