Back Alley Musicals will be holding auditions for Disney’s version of Mary Poppins April 30 through May 2.
The show will feature special effects, including flying Mary.
The roles of Jane and Michael Banks will be open to children ages 8-13. All other roles are open to interested people of all ages.
A detailed list of characters will soon be available at backalleymusicals.net. Singing is required for all roles and everyone should come to auditions prepared to sing. Music that will be used for auditions will be posted on BAM’s website prior to audition dates. A keyboard accompanist will be available for those auditioning.
Those interested in the chimney sweep/ensemble roles should come prepared to dance as well.
Rehearsals begin in late May.
Auditions will be held at Kentucky Wesleyan College’s Ralph Center
at the corner of South Griffith and College Drive on:
- Sat. April 30, at 4 p.m.
- Sun. May 1 at 2 p.m.
- Mon. May 2 at 6:30 p.m.
The show will be performed in the RiverPark Center’s Cannon Hall on:
- Saturday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, July 17, at 2 p.m.
- Saturday, July 23, at 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, July 24, at 2 p.m.
Amy Cox will direct the show. Dennis Jewett will be the music director.
