You may recall The Atom Smasher Show that aired weekday mornings on WSTO for 5 years. Smasher left WSTO to pursue an opportunity with KHMX in Houston, TX in January of last year. He will be returning to the Owensboro airwaves on 97X August 31st. The Atom Smasher Morning Show will air on 97.1FM weekdays from 6a-10a.
When asked of his decision to bring his show to 97X, Smasher stated, “There was no question that the fans in the tristate area missed hearing the show. They still follow and respond to the show through Facebook even though I have been gone for almost two years. I am just as excited to be back on the air in this market.”
Smasher will bring his normal witty and comedic show that is sure to please listeners.
“Placing The Atom Smasher Show on a rock station was a no brainer for us. No doubt he will bring life to mornings on 97X and we are excited to have him on board,” said Brack Stacy, General Manager.
