The Alma Randolph Charitable Foundation will be hosting the 24th annual fundraising event, Saturday, July 22nd at the Owensboro Convention Center.
The reception will be from 4:00-5:30 with dinner beginning at 6. Darryl Strawberry, Former Major League Baseball Right Fielder, Ordained Minister, and Author will be the Keynote Speaker. (Read more about Strawberry on our previous post.)
The net proceeds from this event will benefit the following:
- Annual ARCF Back-to-School clothing event for disadvantaged children.
- HUTS Project – Designed to enhance the living conditions of disadvantaged families.
- Family Y’s Blue Ridge Leaders Assembly
- Family Y’s Summer Learning Loss Prevention
- Habitat for Humanity Summer Build
- MentorKids Kentucky
ARCF is a local non-profit organization designed to clothe children in need and enhance the living conditions of disadvantaged families through our H.U.T.S. Projects. With the support of contributors, the foundation has provided clothing to approximately 15,680 children and raised $1.2 million (net) since 1993. The foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and does not receive any United Way, federal, state, or local government funding. The ARCF is 100% volunteer driven.
