Frank Guglielmi, Senior Director of Communications, told Owensboro Living this afternoon that Meijer is planning a “late spring opening.” But he also noted that the last day of spring is June 19.
In other words, even though the outside of the store looks ready, there’s still a lot to do on the inside.
The ribbon cutting date will be announced six weeks prior to the opening, so it’s at least that far out.
He also said the gas station/convenience store will open about 30 days before the store opens.
Hiring is already underway. Available job postings are listed on the company’s website. The store is hoping to hire at least 250 people.
Here’s a link for anyone interested in applying.
