The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and the Owensboro Society for Human Resource Management have partnered to develop a series to assist Chamber members with common challenges and issues in human resource management.
The six-month program, which runs the second Wednesday of the month beginning July 9, will feature a different topic each month. The sessions will be facilitated by Certified Human Resource Professionals with many years of experience in their field.
All sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude by 1 p.m. All sessions will be held in the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, Old National Bank Conference Room (Third Floor of the Commerce Center).
The program is open to the public. The prices are $100 for all 6 programs for Chamber members and $200 for non-Chamber members or $20 for an individual session for Chamber members and $50 a session for non-Chamber members.
The sessions are as follows:
Developing a Social Media/Email Use Policy
National Labor Relations Act and Employment Policies
Successfully Recruiting and Onboarding the Right Employees
Legally Compliant Terminations
Employee Benefit Trends
The Chamber and O-SHRM have developed this series specifically for small businesses and non-profits that do not have the resources to hire staff professionals in these areas.
