Dr. Murray Adams, dubbed the “Vision Ninja” on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior Season 8, completed his season last night, falling from the second-to-last “hanging spike” and dropping out of contention.
Adams advanced to tonight’s city finals during the Indianapolis qualifier, where he also lost his grip on the hanging spike obstacle but made it far enough through the course to finish 30th, advancing to the city finals.
“I am honored by the support of the people of Owensboro who tell me or my family that they were rooting for me or watched my run on TV,” Adams said. “I hope I get another shot at redemption next year by training very hard to complete the qualifying and finals course.”
Hopefully, we’ll all have another chance to cheer him on next year. Adams says he plans to send in another submission video for American Ninja Warrior Season 9.
Looking back, Adams calls being a part Season 8 an amazing experience. “I felt very honored and comforted by all the friends and family who traveled to Indianapolis to watch my runs and cheer for me.”
