The Owensboro Police Department is honored to announce that our local VFW Lodge #696 has made a donation of $1,800 to the Owensboro Police Department for the acquisition of Naloxone.
Naloxone is an opioid receptor antagonist and antidote for opioid overdose.
This generous donation will allow for the purchase of approximately 25 kits. This life-saving product will be carried by our first responders to provide immediate assistance to those in need.
With time of the essence in these situations, the Owensboro Police Department is proud to have community organizations willing to give of their resources to make a difference in their community.
