Livewell featuring Flex 151, a boutique fitness and health studio, is announcing a Holiday Season “Train for Charity” fundraiser to give back to the community.

“We were excited to bring Livewell featuring Flex 151 to the Owensboro market for our second location last December. We are even more excited to have the chance to support Owensboro’s Housing Relief Project, Street Relief. In return for every contribution of $50 or more, contributors will receive one month of free personal training and our exclusive Whole 9 Nutritional Guide, tying together working hard for our charities and our health. 100% of all donated proceeds will be given to the cause,” stated Shaun Angel, President and Owner.

The drive will run from December 1-31, 2015.

Flex 151 is a unique strength training and cardio program that does not measure productivity in terms of hours in the gym or number of repetitions with weights; the training program measures ‘time under tension,’ which is the amount of time the muscle is actually contracting, while moving through a safe and slow range of motion until exhaustion. All user settings are computer controlled and custom to the client’s current fitness level and then adjusted at their level for progression. The end result is that exercise becomes significantly more efficient, requiring less time and adequate recovery with greater progress.

Details of the charity drive can be found here. The drive is open to the public, but it will be limited to the first 100 contributors.

Open House

Livewell featuring Flex 151 will host a Holiday Open House to the public on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will include cooking demonstrations by health coach and chef, Molly Angel, discounts on services, tastings from the Upgrade Café, and an opportunity to make a free healthy Christmas gift.

Located on the first floor Midtown Building located at 920 Frederica Street, the location features Flex 151’s state of the art computerized strength training program while also providing their signature Upgrade Café health foods, specialty health food and skin products, holistic massage therapy, and health coaching.
