The Owensboro Symphony Academy’s Kindermusik program will host a free family friendly interactive event called “Kindermusik at the River” at Smothers Park Overlook on Sunday, August 24th at 3:00pm.. Parents and students can participate in some of the most popular Kindermusik activities including instrument play-alongs, sing-alongs, dances, parachute play, and story time.

Attendees will enjoy several train themed songs from the Shiny Dinah curriculum including New River Train, Alabama Gal, Shoo Fly and many other childhood favorites. Children can also play along with rhythm sticks, egg shakers, and even hula-hoops. A super sized parachute that accommodates 30 people will also be used during one of the song activities.

The program also features special guest, Skylar Cain, as well as a sing along time featuring Kindermusik educator, Cathy Mullins, leading several familiar favorites including You Are My Sunshine and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.

Kindermusik is an international music and movement program for families with young children ages newborn to seven with classes meeting locally at the Owensboro Symphony Academy. Fall classes begin after Labor Day. For more information about Kindermusik, visit www.kindermusik.com.
