Studio Slant is on the move, trading in their downtown prime location for a bigger storefront on Emory Drive in Wesleyan Park Plaza.
“The new space allows us to expand our boutique and offer tons more to our customers,” says owner Katherine Taylor. “We will broaden our selection of home decor, children’s gifts, jewelry, kitchen and bar ware and so much more.”
Studio Slant is an Art Gallery and Handmade Boutique that has been located on Second Street in Downtown Owensboro for the past four years. Sisters Christy Taylor Chaney and Katherine Taylor, who both have art degrees, run the shop and also started the East Bridge Art and Music Festival, which they say will remain downtown in September 2015.
According to the sisters, the larger space will double the size of their “canvas & cocktails” classes for adults and “canvas and cupcakes” classes for children. They will also be able to offer more public classes each month and expand into jewelry making and door hanger classes.
With more products and more classes, the studio will be open 6 days a week now as well. Come support Studio Slant at their new location, 624 Emory Drive, when the doors open this Saturday, October 4th.
