Visitors to Smothers Park or the downtown riverfront will notice several projects underway.
Starting this past Monday, August 7th, 2017, Rivertown Concrete will be replacing old brick pavers on the east side of Allen Street at the 100 block. The parking lane and sidewalk will be closed. This work is expected to last 30 days pending inclement weather and delays. Please use caution in this area.
Also, Allen Street Pavilion at Smothers Park will be closed beginning Monday, August 7 for up to 5 weeks as repair work to the river wall is completed. The river wall panels were damaged when a barge ran into the wall earlier this year.
Hall Contracting is completing the repairs.
Concession Stand Hours
The Smothers Park concession stand hours of operation will change beginning August 9 through October 31 due to school being back in session.
Hours are as follows:
- Monday – Friday ………………………4 – 8 p.m.
- Saturday’s and Sunday’s………..……11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
During Fall Break, October 9-13, the concession stand will be open daily from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
