This Friday, January 2nd, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will be hosting a blood drive for the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center from 3-7pm in their fellowship hall.
“This blood drive is to remember what miracles God did in my life a year ago on New Year’s day,” said organizer Jill Pendergraft. “I wanted to have this blood drive to remind others that God still works miracles. It reminds me how Jesus shed His blood to save me from my sins, and also that someone else had to give their blood to save my life that day a year ago.”
What Jill is referring to is surviving a severe hemorrhage that left her with only half the blood in her body. Thanks to some miraculous circumstances and blood transfusions, she survived the ordeal.
