The Pigtails & Cowlicks Spring and Summer Consignment Sale will be Friday, March 24 through Saturday, March 25, 2017. Guests can shop from 375 families selling around 40,000 items – all for kids.

Friday hours are 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday hours are 8am to 1pm.

Pigtails & Cowlicks Children’s Spring Consignment Sale offers area families the chance to shop for new or gently used items for kids from babies to teens.  Clothing, toys, furniture, books, baby gear, shoes, and more. No Admission Fee to Shop! Open to the public!  Cash and debit/credit cards accepted.

Organizer Elaine Martin says Pigtails & Cowlicks started in 2006 with 35 consignors at a storefront on Frederica Street. “As we continued to grow and add consignors, we moved to bigger and better locations. As we are now at 375 families selling around 40,000 items, we plan to stay at the Convention Center for a long time.”

Martin says the Convention Center is also convenient because dads can take the kids to play at Smothers while moms “load up on deals.”

This year, the sale also coincides with “Girls Day Out” at the Convention Center Saturday. According to a release by the Convention Center, this will be the first Girls Day Out event held in Owensboro. From 10am to 4pm, guests can shop from 75 vendors and enter for chances to win fun giveaways. Consultants with LulaRoe, Thirty One Gifts, Scentsy, and other vendors will be available, as well as handmade craft items.

“We’re hoping that friends pile in a car, come shop with us, ride the trolley to eat downtown, and just have a super fun day,” Martin said.
