Theatre Workshop of Owensboro (TWO) will hold a talent show for children Saturday, November 5, 2016, at The Empress Theatre.
Competition will begin at 10 a.m. with “Owensboro’s Little Big Shots,” sponsored by Dr. John and Mrs. Cate Lauzon. This contest will feature children age 3-6. Contestants may sing, display artwork, tumble…whatever they like! Registration begins at 9:00 AM. The first 15 to sign-up will enter the contest. There will be a “Character Party” November 12 at 11:00 AM for all participants and three of their friends at Trinity Centre, 407 W. Fifth St.
The rest of the program is sponsored by Republic Bank. From 3 to 5 p.m., November 5, youngsters age 12 and under will compete. Sign-up begins at 2 p.m. The first 20 to sign up will then have seven minutes or less to perform. This time limit includes set-up. Celebrity judges will evaluate the acts to determine the winner!
Older kids (ages 13-18) will face-off from 7 to 9 p.m. The first 20 to sign-up (beginning at 6 p.m.) will have seven minutes to perform. As with earlier sessions, judges will determine the winner.
