Looking for a FAR OUT™ time, man? If so, we invite you to our screening of Mazes & Monsters! The film, a cautionary tale about the dangers of live action role-playing games, stars Tom Hanks as Robbie, a college student who descends into madness after the titular pen-and-paper game consumes him. You may never pick up a 12-sided die again!
Just in case the last sentence in my opening paragraph rings true with some of our audience, we’ve decided to give everyone a last chance to play Dungeons & Dragons before showing the film. At 6:30 PM, Ryan Henry, a kindhearted wizard from Library World, will lead interested attendees through a unique D&D campaign inspired by Mazes & Monsters.
We’re making this installment an early Halloween celebration! And since we can’t have one of those without a few ghost stories, Mr. Todd Reynolds of Theatre Workshop of Owensboro will reveal the haunted history of TWO’s Trinity Theatre after the film.
Come dressed in a fantasy-themed costume (any sort of fantasy, so Ryan Gosling counts) for your chance to win a prize.
Could it be a food gift card?
A real spell for Magic Missiles?
Free book checkouts from DCPL?
You’ll have to costume-up and come to find out!
Tuesday, October 6th from 6-9pm at TWO Trinity Centre, 407 W 5th St.
