Here’s an opportunity you don’t get every day: how would you like to go on a short flight around Owensboro for $25? During the Owensboro Air Show, Mission Aviation Fellowship will be providing airplane rides around Owensboro for $25 a person to help raise funds for their missions.
MAF Southern Region Coordinator Scott Hillard says, “We will be providing flights from 8-12 on both Friday and Saturday (Oct 3-4).” In addition, there may also be another time frame from 3-6 PM on Friday, but that’s not confirmed at this point.
According to their website, MAF is a Christian-humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to reaching the most isolated regions of the world to meet both physical and spiritual needs. Their aviation services enable the work of some 1,500 churches, healthcare organizations, relief agencies, development groups, government agencies, and mission organizations to reach the people they serve with vital supplies. Last year MAF served over 600 organizations, flew 94,005 passengers and 8,513,327 pounds of cargo to provide medical assistance, disaster relief, community development, training, and evangelization.
Hillard says, “We are looking forward to being a visible presence at the Owensboro Air Show this year.”
