On Friday, October 17th, Miss Kentucky Ramsey Carpenter will visit both Owensboro Middle School South and Cravens Elementary School. Miss Kentucky will speak to Owensboro Middle School South students at 7:30 am. Later that day, she will talk to Cravens Elementary School students at 2 pm. “It’s an honor to have someone who represents our state with such class to visit our schools,” said Dr. Nick Brake, OPS Superintendent.
An Ohio County native, Ramsey Carpenter was named Miss Kentucky in 2014. Carpenter is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education. As Miss Kentucky, Carpenter serves as the spokesperson for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s “Kentucky Proud” program, which encourages consumers of all ages to purchase products produced in Kentucky and to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
Owensboro Middle School South is located at 2631 S Griffith Ave. Cravens Elementary is located at 2741 Cravens Ave, Owensboro, KY.
