Meijer is confirming May 19 as the opening date for its new supercenters in Evansville, Ind. and Owensboro, Ky. Meijer leadership and local dignitaries will dedicate each store’s first day of business with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Gas stations at each location will officially open on April 21.
While weekly Meijer sales at the supercenter and gas station begin when doors open May 19, the retailer will also feature special promotions and events to commemorate the store’s grand opening celebration beginning May 22.
The Evansville and Owensboro locations are the first of nine new stores Meijer is opening in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Wisconsin this year.
