For the first time ever, the Owensboro Lions Club will host an adult soap box race known as “Old Rascals Benefit Soap Box Race” on Saturday, October 10, 2015, starting at 8am.
The event is more than just a downhill race, it will be a whole day of family fun with food, games and entertainment!
Not only will this be a great time and a chance for adults to get fired up for some friendly competition, but all proceeds will go to support the Owensboro Lions Club and Puzzle Pieces!
Families, friends, individuals and businesses are encouraged to come together for this event!
Registration will end Sept. 10th if a car kit is needed, or Sept. 25th if you build your own car.
“Who doesn’t enjoy a great sled ride or coasting fast down a long hill on some wheels?” said Owensboro Lions Club Representative, Chris Settles. “Owensboro has one of the best gravity race tracks in the country…and not a lot of folks know about it! This is a chance to enjoy it and help a couple great charity organizations at the same time!”
