A banner announcing that Krispy Kreme is coming has been hung on the corner of Frederica and Southtown.
Sarah Roof, Krispy Kreme Corporate Communications Coordinator, told Owensboro Living the new store is set to open sometime this spring or summer.
The address is 4911 Frederica Street, which used to be Kentucky Fried Chicken. The shop will be similar in size to the Evansville location and will include a retail lobby and a drive-thru.
“We’ve always had a strong fan base in Kentucky, so Owensboro was the perfect place to open our newest Krispy Kreme shop,” Roof said. “We are excited to build new relationships in the city.”
