UK fans from around the region will be flocking to Sleep Outfitters (5040 Frederica Street in front of Town Square Mall) for their Grand Opening celebration featuring a Kentucky Sports Radio live remote broadcast from inside the mattress showroom. KSR personalities Matt Jones and Ryan Lemond are scheduled to be on hand.
Although the store opened in October, the official Grand Opening will be Friday, February 6th from 9-11am with a ribbon cutting by the Owensboro Chamber of Commerce at 10:00am during a KSR broadcast commercial break. There will be several door prizes given away, including a very nice vacation package.
Sleep Outfitters has grown from one original location to a very successful chain of 159 stores in six states. Owensboro Store Manager Bill Slatter says Sleep Outfitters traditionally does very well in Kentucky. “We’ve had a great response from Owensboro residents so far,” Slatter said.
KSR host Ryan Lemond will be returning to Owensboro, where he played baseball at Kentucky Wesleyan College (’89) and was a four-year starter for the Panthers. Kentucky Sports Radio broadcasts live from 9-11am on 102.7 The Game and is replayed later that day from 3-5pm.
