Kentucky Mavericks (16-3) defeated the Ohio Bootleggers (12-7) Sunday afternoon in a 109-97 win to advance to the PBL Championship Finals. The Mavericks will face the Rochester RazorSharks (17-2) who defeated the Jamestown Jackals( 9-8) in a 98-91 in Rochester.
The Mavericks and the RazorSharks have been considered the two best teams in the PBL for the last two seasons. They finally meet in the Championship Finals to decide the 2017 PBL Champion.
The RazorSharks will be going after their 4th consecutive PBL Championship. The Mavericks will be going after their first PBL Championship.
The Mavericks had five players scoring double figures in their win against Ohio tonight. Robert Crawford scored 27 points to pace the way. Ben Vozzola followed with 16 points and Anthony Jackson chipped in 13 points. The Bootleggers were led by Benard Edwards with 27 points, Brett McKnight with 22 points, and Cody Ballard with 20 points.
The First game of the PBL Championship Finals will be held at the Owensboro SportsCenter this Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
