The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting registrations for its annual “Introduction to Golf” camp for youth ages 6 through 15. Perfect for those new to the game, the camp will instruct participants in correct grip, stance, swing, putting, chipping, rules and course etiquette.
Camp dates are June 8-12 for those ages 6-11 (register by May 29) and June 15-19 for ages 10-15 (register by June 5). The 6-11 year old division will take place at Hillcrest Golf Course and the 10-15 year old division will be at Ben Hawes Golf Course. Participants may sign up for either the 8:30-9:45 a.m. session or the 10:15-11:30 a.m. session. The camp is $40 per participant and includes range balls, gifts and prizes.
