A statement from the Owensboro Daviess County Chamber of Commerce:

Amy Jackson, who has been the president and CEO of the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce since June 2012 tendered her resignation this week. In our discussion, she assured me that her time with the Chamber has been extremely rewarding. She was not seeking a career change but was presented a special and unique opportunity. Amy Jackson has significantly moved the Chamber forward during her brief tenure. The Chamber has a strong and very capable staff. Your board of directors and the Chamber staff are committed to continue to our mission which is “providing leadership, advocacy and member services that foster growth an economic prosperity for our region.”

Chair-Elect Mark Martin, Atmos Energy Vice President for Rates and Regulatory Affairs, will Chair the Selection Committee which will immediately begin the search process for a CEO. On behalf of your Chamber Board of Directors and the Staff, we value your membership and look forward to continuing to serve you.

Please join us in extending our sincerest appreciation for the outstanding leadership Amy has provided and our best wishes as she embarks on this new opportunity.

Sincerely,

Darrell Higginbotham,
Chairman Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce
