The DJ had everybody moving as families packed into the Mammoth Lobby for the Owensboro Museum of Science and History’s “Noon Year’s Eve Celebration.” Kids were waiting for the countdown to begin as Mickey Mouse, Batman, Elsa, Disney Princesses, and other characters danced and passed out “poppers” to the growing crowd. Adding to the excitement, other children made party hats and noisemakers or got their faces painted. When the clock struck noon, a thousand balloons were simultaneously dropped on the chanting crowd. To end the celebration, kids were treated with cookies and a parting gift on the way out the door. Here’s a video of all the action:
