The Owensboro Police Department will be out in force again this year as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign on drunk driving.
The campaign began on August 19 and will conclude on September 5, 2016.
The campaign is supported by national paid advertising, and along with our local high visibility efforts, we hope to create a comprehensive campaign to curb drunk driving. The Owensboro Police Department will also be conducting a traffic safety checkpoint at an undisclosed time during the campaign period.
