The International Bluegrass Music Museum’s benefit concerts will continue with a spring series beginning January 22 and running through May 12, hosted at the Museum in downtown Owensboro.

This season’s lineup includes nationally recognized acts and artists from all over the country. The series kicks-off January 22 with Nashville based, Sheriff Scott and the Deputies, led by the passionate and talented, Scott Simontacchi.

Two shows will be held the month of February – acclaimed bluegrass family band, The Bankesters take the stage on February 12, followed by the vivacious and soulful group, Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys on February 26.

The incredible flatpicking of Jon Stickley along with his group, the Jon Stickley Trio will be held on March 12, followed by prestigious mandolin player and ROMP alum, Sierra Hull on March 31.

Grammy-nominated duo, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley will play April 22, and rounding out the spring series on May 12 is St. Louis based singer, songwriter, Pokey LaFarge.

Season passes are sold out, but individual show tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, Jan. 15 at noon. Prices range from $15 to $25 per individual show ticket. With a capacity of 130, these shows create an intimate atmosphere allowing audience members and artists to connect through the music.

All shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Light food and a cash bar will be available.

Money raised from this concert series helps the museum continue efforts to preserve and honor the legacy of bluegrass music including music educational programs, general museum operating expenses, the Video Oral History Project (VOHP) and artifact collection efforts.
