Spring is officially here, and the Owensboro Family YMCA would like to invite everyone to get moving while enjoying the great outdoors for two of their most popular community events: the BBQ Fest 5K and Lakewood Valley Triathlon.
Registration is now open for both.
BBQ Fest 5K: Saturday, May 13, 2017
There is no better way to work up an appetite for the International BBQ Festival than to participate in the BBQ Fest 5K!

The BBQ Fest 5K Run/Walk is one of the most popular 5K races in the area. All proceeds benefit the Financial Assistance programs at the Owensboro Family YMCA.

Lakewood Valley Triathlon: Saturday, June 10, 2017 (Presented by Owensboro Health)
June 10, 2017, will mark the 15th Annual Owensboro Family YMCA Triathlon at Lakewood Valley presented by Owensboro Health. Lakewood is a sprint distance triathlon which consists of ½-mile swim in a reservoir-type man-made lake, 15-mile country road bike course that is very challenging for even the most experienced triathlete, and a 3.1 mile run around the lake.
Lakewood has been named the “Midwest’s Most Beautiful Triathlon. Register at the Owensboro Family YMCA or register online at itsyourrace.com.
Early registration (until May 1st): Individual $65, Relay $120
Late registration (May 1st- June 10th): Individual $80, Relay $150
Race day registration begins at 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM
Mandatory pre-race meeting at 7:30 AM
